HYBRID
STAGE PROJECT is founded by Fulya Peker and Deborah Wallace
to present experimental theater pieces created through engaging in
intense dialogues on phenomenology. Its mission is to use the stage as a
space where it is possible to observe the unending wrestle of dualities
provoked by inner gravitational conflicts, unconscious and subconscious forces, sacred and profane cognitions, micro and macro selves, while experimenting on the HYBRID in artistic creation process.

Inspired by Alfred Kubin's paintings and his dystopic novel, The Other Side, which pointedly displays the perpetually claustrophobic absurdity of culture while asking us to enter and luxuriate in the adventure of the void. THE VOID explores one man's multilayered consciousness in relation to physics and aims to present a shockingly detailed vision of articulate forms with inarticulate perceptions. An Illustrator falls into his void-mind while attempting to frame his own reality, and there finds two unconscious dual forces are waiting for him: inseparable yet opposite sisters wrestling with each other endlessly. The Illustrator’s survival depends upon engaging these two forces, eternally charged and threatening his complete annihilation.
